As the weather gets cooler, the evenings lengthen, and the summer comes to a dwindling end, the free agency gets hotter and teams make their last pitch to the top free agents in the league to join their team. Many of the top teams in the FM Home Loans AFI League are coming back for the 30th season of the league and are looking for that last big missing piece to put them over the top and have a chance to raise the Holy Land Bowl Trophy.
This week we’ll take a look and see what changes the defending champions Tzioni Fisherman have made this off-season.
Whose coming back: It looks like the super-team is back in action with all the starters coming back except for star wide receiver Ezzi Jaski.
What to look for: The big question is how Quarterback Avi Zern will react without one of his star wide receivers on the field. Zern switched last year from a rush first quarterback to a pass first quarterback.
What can they do better: Last year the Champs got off to a little rough start having to mesh and work out chemistry issues within the team. A year of being together should have the Champs starting hot right out of the gate.
Weaknesses: The only true weakness the super-team has is that they don’t practice. This could be a major factor if players are not on the same page during game-play.
Prediction: Tzioni Fisherman will definitely be one of the top teams in the league this year with most of their star players returning. The Champs will have a big target on their back with all the teams in the FM Home Loans AFI League giving their best shot at beating the defending Champs.
