ליגת פלאג גברים – שבוע 2

Week two was another thrilling week of FM Home Loans AFI League football witnessed by a packed crowd at Kraft Stadium in Jerusalem.  The evening was filled with many teams opening their season.  Top teams suffered their first losses of the season.  Many late game winning drives, that will be talked about in the lunchroom all week long.  The bright lights brought the best out in all the players as they looked to showcase their talents in front of their loyal fans.

 

 

Chaikel Travel (3-1) VS. Senters Kings (1-2-1)

The defending champions were back to normal form in week, as their top defensive attack helped the champs win game one in shutout fashion 7-0.  Chaikel Travel’s star quarterback Avi Zern threw three touchdowns passes for an easy game two 20-6 victory.

Pizzeria Efrat (2-2) VS. Toras Chaim (1-1)

Toras Chaim’s new team Quarterback Shuey Dachs threw three touchdown passes to wide receiver Yosef Wilheim for a game one, 24-0 shutout win.  Pizzeria Efrat showed their true colors in game two, coming back with under a minute left in the game, after quarterback Akiva Schwartz found Elazar Kolom in the endzone for a 14-13 upset victory.

The Deep Sleepers (1-1) VS. Big Blue (2-2)

Big Blue broke the scoreless tie with under a minute to go in the game after quarterback Akiva Gardner found wide receiver Ahron Stefansky to win game one 6-0.  The Deep Sleepers offense woke up in game two with quarterback Dovy Loebenberg running and throwing touchdown passes to help his team win game two 19-0.

T-Seahawks (2-0) VS. Route 38 Roughriders (0-2)

Rookie quarterback Meir Reischer found wide receiver Chaim Schwartz for the only score in a 7-0 win over the Roughriders.  T-seahawks wide receiver Yosef Zamsky caught two touchdown passes to help his team win game two 15-6.

Derech Etz Chaim (2-1-1) VS Skokie Rebels (0-4)

Dec’s offense showed up bigtime early and often in an easy 19-6 game one victory.  DEC kept the flow going in game two with touchdown catches from Yerucham Pliner and Gidon Hazony from quarterback Moshe Shear to help win game two 16-0.

Psychobunny’s (3-1) VS Mercaz Moosen (1-1)

Ari Ganz Threw two touchdown passes to Chatz Katz and Tzvi Kornfeld to win game one, 15-6 in front of a rocking Mercaz crowd.  The Moosen did not disappoint their fans in game two after Moshe Feintuch took a short pass all the way to the end zone, and had a late interception to seal the upset victory over the Pschobunny’s 7-6.
