Week Nine Of The FM Home Loans AFI League was a week of teams fighting for last playoff seeding.  The team battled hard in the rain in front of their diehard fans on the holiday of Chanukah.  Most top tier teams continued their winning streaks as the lower tier teams looked for wins they could build on.  It was a week of good old, hard nose, and bad weather football being played with the playoffs in arms reach, and a chance to raise the Holy Land Bowl Trophy.

 

The Y.B.H. Over Cats (2-11-1) VS Joes Eagles (8-6)

Joes Eagles took care of business in a game one victory 12-6.  The Cats could not stop the Eagles offense from reaching the end zone and took a game two loss 19-7.

The Bear Jews (7-6-1) VS Lev Hatorah (0-14)

Lev Hatorah was looking for their first win of the season vs The Bear Jews.  Lev Hatorah fought hard but fell in both games, 18-13 in game one and 14-6 in game two.

Mevs (9-4-1) VS Big Blue (7-6-1)

Mevs defense shut down the improving offense of Big Blue and won in game one in shutout fashion 12-0.  Mevs offense was clicking in game two behind quarterback Uriel Green who helped his team win game two 18-14.

Bayberry Broncos (7-6-1) VS High On Life (9-2-1)

High On Life continued their winning streak vs the Broncos, winning game one easily 24-6.  High On Life offense played a big role again in a game two victory 21-14.

The Salty Pretzels (6-6) VS Shua’s Boys (2-12)

The Salty Pretzels picked up two big shutout wins, winning both games 24-0.

Senter Kings (5-6-1) VS Skokie Rebels (1-11)

Both teams were battling for a playoff spot in this matchup.   Senter Kings fought hard and picked up a game one win 13-7.  Senter Kings shut out the Skokie Rebels in game two 6-0.
